Olivier Giroud certainly showed off his class at the World Cup and in spite of the loss in the final, he will return to AC Milan with great confidence. As a result of his success, the Rossoneri are also working on a renewal.
Giroud found the back of the net four times for France at the World Cup and he thus proved that he’s still a great striker at 36 years old. And for Milan, he has scored nine goals and assisted an additional five this season.
According to Sky Italia, Milan want to keep the striker but the decision will ultimately come down to the player himself. Should he decide to stay in Italy, then the renewal certainly won’t be a problem.
This update comes as a few rumours suggested that Milan’s contract offer was too low, thus forcing Giroud to reevaluate the situation. The rumours have no valid basis, though, as the negotiations are at a great place currently.
Maybe PSG, part owner, sporting director, and coach Kylian Mbappe will try to bring Giroud to PSG since they play well off each other, and he has been asking for a proper #9 to be signed by PSG for a while now
