Sky: Milan to ‘resume’ talks over defender as Tottenham will ‘favour permanent move’

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are expected to bring in a centre-back before the transfer window closes and they have identified Japhet Tanganga as their primary target. In fact, they are expected to resume talks with Tottenham, a report claims.

The Rossoneri have been linked with the Englishman in the past and also in the last few weeks, keen on bringing in a centre-back to make up for Alessio Romagnoli’s exit. And as the Charles De Ketelaere deal is seemingly done, they can focus on this.

Sven Botman was the big target for Milan before the start of the summer but after failing to get him, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara changed the strategy slightly. They are now after a cheaper profile, but there is still some spending power.

According to Sky UK’s Dharmesh Sheth, Milan will soon resume talks with Tottenham over signing Tanganga. Spurs are likely to favour a permanent deal even though talks initially were about a loan. Furthermore, Tanganga is pushing for the move.

Milan are most likely willing to accept a permanent formula, as long as the price tag is right.

  1. Chelsea haven’t included Ampadu in their squad list, he’s got Serie A and international experience, can be a CB or DM… Get on the phone Paolo!

  2. I just read that Totenham are planing to get Milenkovic from Fiorentina. (Prob from the money from Tanganga.) Why can’t we try to get him? I think both players will be good for Milan, but Milenkovic fits better in our current team and tactics. He also brings height in the defence. Ndicka is okey too but he dosen’t seem fast enough for Pioli system. I preffer Tomori to stay on the left since he compensates with his speed for Theo forward runs.

  3. R. you right I prefer mpadu because the guy is young. He has already have experience. We should just sign him
