AC Milan are in advanced negotiations with AZ Alkmaar over their midfielder Tijjani Reijnders and it seems an agreement is in sight. In fact, the parties could close the matter next week.
Amid Ismael Bennacer’s injury, and the departure of Sandro Tonali, one of Milan’s priorities is to strengthen the midfield. The arrival of Ruben Loftus-Cheek was a good start, but the Rossoneri also need someone like Reijnders.
According to Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, the negotiations are ongoing with Alkmaar but the Dutch side is playing hardball. They have slapped a €25m price tag on Reijnders and want to get as much as possible, but the parties should reach a compromise.
Reijnders is pushing for the move and as per the report, Milan expect to close the deal by Wednesday or Thursday next week. This means that the midfielder could arrive in the city next weekend, undergoing his medical and signing the contract.
