Sky UK: Milan resume talks over Chelsea midfielder deemed ‘a priority’

By Isak Möller -

One of the priorities for AC Milan this summer is to reinforce the midfield, given the serious injury of Ismael Bennacer. Therefore, the Rossoneri have set their sights on a Chelsea midfielder.

Bennacer injured himself in the first leg against Inter earlier this month and after undergoing surgery, he will be out until November/December. As a result, Milan are working on one or two signings for the midfield.

According to Sky UK, as cited by Francesco Nasato, Milan have once again enquired about Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the last few hours. Paolo Maldini and Rcky Massara consider him ‘a priority’ and intend to use their good relations with the English side.

Loftus-Cheek has made 23 appearances in all competitions this season and he played both games against Milan in the Champions League group stage. In fact, he even got an assist in the first leg (3-0 loss for the Rossoneri).

Yesterday, it was reported that Milan also are monitoring the situation of Frattesi. But only one of them will arrive, by the sounds of it.
