Sky: Milan to be without full-back for game against Lille who has picked up muscle injury

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli looks unlikely to be able to call upon defender Davide Calabria for Thursday night’s game against Lille, it is claimed.

There had been speculation in the media that Pioli would have chosen to rest Calabria anyway and would have given a start to Diogo Dalot at right-back for the visit of the French high-flyers.

However, journalist Manuele Baiocchini has now told Sky Italia (via MilanNews) that training begun at Milanello on Wednesday evening ahead of Thursday night’s game in what are the final preparations.

However, Calabria is not present as he has a muscle problem and therefore is highly unlikely to be name in the squad for the game, which now surely means that one of Dalot or even Andrea Conti will take his place on the right side of defence.

More news about other possible rotations is awaited, though Pioli did hint at further changes in his pre-match press conference.
