Massimiliano Allegri is expected to make four changes to the starting XI for the Derby della Madonnina between AC Milan and Inter, according to a report.

Due to the international break, it’s been a while since Milan last played a game. On the plus side, this has allowed them to recover some of their stars, with Adrien Rabiot and Christian Pulisic now ready to play from the first minute.

It was almost a timely break, in other words, and it means Milan will enter tomorrow’s derby against Inter with a strong squad. Zachary Athekame and Santiago Gimenez are on the injury list, but they most likely wouldn’t have started either way.

According to Sky Italia, Allegri is preparing to make four changes to the starting eleven against Inter: Fikayo Tomori on for Koni De Winter, Davide Bartesaghi on for Pervis Estupinan, Adrien Rabiot on for Samuele Ricci, and Christian Pulisic on for Christopher Nkunku.

Predicted Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Modric, Rabiot, Bartesaghi; Pulisic, Leao.

Bench: Terracciano, Pittarella, De Winter, Odogu, Estupinan, Jashari, Loftus-Cheek, Ricci, Nkunku.

Injuries & suspensions: Athekame and Gimenez.

Bartesaghi seems to be getting the nod, in other words, and it’s not that surprising given he has done well in recent weeks. Estupinan didn’t ecxactly take the chance against Parma either, making quite a few mistakes.

  1. Pervis made mistakes during the Parma match, after being out for several weeks injured. but before his injury he was combining brilliantly with Pavlovic and Rabiot and Milan were dominating from both the left and right side. Allegri brought Estupinan immediately back into the 11 after injury, which should be a signal on his views…but then again, maybe not to this room.

    1. Regardless of form the first goal against us vs. Parma was absolutely inexcusable and even more so when the error that lead to the goal is made by a soon to be 28 year old player. In fact it would still be a horrible mistake by a 15 year old player as it was easily avoidable.
Can Estupinan strike back from his error sure but don’t expect him to be given much patience to make such lethargic errors again.
Personally I would start him on the bench and then maybe give him some minutes later on in the match but obviously that is also depending on daily form. fitness and how both players has performed at training during the last part of the week.
Anyways we will see who starts as Allegri has already professed today that he might need both of them in the match.

      1. I’ve never heard of a defender who hasn’t made an error which led to a goal. Never…I judge a player based off their overall play, not one error, even it cost us. Remember Pulisic missed a match winning penalty, but does that one error define him? No it doesn’t! I don’t really care who starts, because both players will likely play. but I won’t judge Pervis on an error!!! before he got injured he was solid, playing well and improving each match. Bartesaghis has been average. And again, he is a terrible defender. Why did Allegri drop him and bring in Pervis immediately after being out for 50 days? That should tell us something! but then again, maybe not.

        1. That was 1 error I mentioned he was also involved in the other goal and overall had a horrendous match, basically he lost the 2 points for us so quit it and get real. Bartesaghi has been more solid in my view and I will rather show a young player some patience and even allow some errors than a soon to be 28 year old player whom we should be able to expect more from.
Why has Allegri then chosen Bartesaghi to start tonight then ? My guess is that he started Pervis in the other match as he wanted him to get a bit more match fit as it could be detrimental if we suddenly has no left back in form in the event Bartesaghi was to become injured.

    2. if theo is serie A player, estupido is serie D player
I wont explain technical issues because its too hard for you..

I’m saying his alternative is better than him, can still learn (plus its own youth product)

  2. Barthesaghi é mais adequado já que a inter vai explorar bola aérea com dunfries então ter um jogador de maior estatura pode ser decisivo

    1. Milan has missed Rabiot terribly….why? Could it be that the player replacing him (Ricci) is nowhere near as good? and it clearly showed? And the player you want to drop is Fofana?….That probably makes perfect sense for this room.

      1. Fofana is a little better than Musah, Ricci a better player. Ricci is not Rabiot, he wasn’t brought to do the job Rabiot does. Fofana is a waste in attack.

        1. “Ricci is not Rabiot”…yes G. Weah, we know, everyone knows!!! That much has been made crystal clear.

“Fofana is a waste in attack” Yes he is, we all agree! Now tell us what his position is…I’ll give you a hint…It’s not in attack!! sigh!
