Sky: Milan’s interest in 24-year-old Barcelona man is concrete but they must open to formula

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have a concrete interest in Barcelona defender Junior Firpo and are at work to sign him, according to a report.

It has been well documented that Milan are on the lookout for a new full-back to become the deputy to Theo Hernandez and although Diego Laxalt is returning from his loan at Celtic, he does not seem to feature in the plans of the club and instead looks to be closing in on a move to Russia.

According to what Gianluca Di Marzio has told Sky (via MilanNews), Milan are working concretely to sign 24-year-old Junior Firpo, a Barcelona full-back who could alternate on the left with Theo Hernandez.

The Rossoneri are following the Spanish player with great interest, but the Blaugrana club have to open up to a loan formula before things can really take off. It is a track worth paying attention to after Milan tried for him in January too.
