Sky: Milan’s predicted XI for Juventus clash – Tomori recovers just in time

Massimiliano Allegri is now expected to make just one change to the starting eleven for Juventus-Milan, following the swift recovery of Fikayo Tomori.

The Englishman was subbed off in the game against Napoli due to an injury, more specifically a minor adductor strain, and it seemed he would miss this weekend’s clash. However, he has now recovered in full and will be available.

Pervis Estupinan, meanwhile, hasn’t managed to get rid of his red card (of course) so he will be in the stands tomorrow. Other than that, excluding Ardon Jashari who should be back in a month, Allegri has a full squad to rely on.

Tomori returns at the last minute

According to MilanNews and Sky, the only change to the starting XI will indeed be Davide Bartesaghi for Estupinan. Allegri suggested during his press conference that Zachary Athekame was an option for the left wing-back role, but that seems to have been more mind games than anything.

Up front, Santiago Gimenez is keeping his spot as Christopher Nkunku and Rafael Leao still aren’t at full fitness. Furthermore, the Mexican has worked very hard in the last few games and that is something Allegri has appreciated a lot.

Predicted Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Modric, Rabiot, Bartesaghi; Gimenez, Pulisic.

  1. Since none of the sports writers seem to want to do it, I’m going to give some love to Gabbia for the solid defense he has played so far this season. He’s steady, smart and strong. Glad he’s back there.
