AC Milan player Andrea Petagna, currently on loan at Ascoli until the end of the season, has agreed a deal in principal to join Atalanta.
Sky reports that Milan and La Dea have already negotiated a percentage of the sell-on fee, and that the transfer is almost complete but for medical checks.
Petagna made his professional debut in December 2012, when he came on as a substitute for the Rossoneri in a 1-0 loss to Zenit St. Petersburg in the Champions League. Since then, he has played just two more games for Milan.
The striker has been on loan at Sampdoria, Latina, Vicenza before his current loan spell at Ascoli, and has represented Italy through until U20 level.
