Sky: Pioli should get crucial system player back in time for Cagliari game – latest on injuries

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli should welcome Alexis Saelemaekers back for Monday’s trip to face Cagliari, according to a report.

According to what Sky are reporting (via MilanNews), Milan are training at Milanello this afternoon and while Zlatan Ibrahimovic is with the rest of the group, Saelemaekers is not present.

This morning the Belgian did some preparatory work ahead of returning to the group in the next few days, and they add that he should return to Pioli’s disposal for Monday’s trip to Cagliari.

However, Tuttosport (via Football Italia) are reporting that the match will come too soon for Ismael Bennacer and Matteo Gabbia who will continue their respective recoveries from thigh and knee problems respectively.

Milan are also without Rade Krunic and Ante Rebic too of course, who are out with Coronavirus and have yet to test negative, meaning it could well be that Pioli gets a batch of players back at once.
