Sky: Probable Milan XI to face Liverpool – Bennacer in as one doubt remains

By Oliver Fisher -

Now that the injury situation has been clarified, some team news has emerged revealing how AC Milan should line up against Liverpool tomorrow.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be available for the game due to sustaining an Achilles tendon problem while Tiemoue Bakayoko and Rade Krunic are set to be missing from the midfield department with respective muscle problems.

Speaking on Sky (via MilanNews), the journalist Peppe Di Stefano reported from Milanello the probable line-up that Stefano Pioli will field. In goal will be Mike Maignan while in front of him should be Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez.

In midfield the double pivot will be formed by Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie – with Sandro Tonali having missed training today – while the attack should consist of Alexis Saelemakers, Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao. The only doubt is whether Olivier Giroud or Ante Rebic will be the starting centre-forward.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Bennacer, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz, Leao; Giroud/Rebic.

  1. I’m okay with this formation with Bennacer pairing Kessie in midfield and Giroud as top 9,Rebic should come on later in the game as fresh force

  2. Pls start giroud up front.

I think Diaz and giroud are getting to understand each other.

More goals will be guaranteed with giroud playing 9

U either start Rebic or Leao at the LW
