Milan are closing in on their third signing this transfer window, having already announced the arrival of Soualiho Meite and Mario Manduzkic. The next in line is Fikayo Tomori, who will join on loan (as we reported yesterday morning).
Having said that, the Chelsea defender’s arrival has been slightly delayed. According to Luca Marchetti (via MilanNews), speaking live on Sky Italia, Milan are still banking on having him ready for the game against Atalanta on Saturday.
The delay, meanwhile, is due to the fact that Chelsea played last night and that Tomori is a non-EU player. Therefore, there is some paperwork to complete and with COVID, travelling is no longer as easy as it used to be.
The transfer is not at risk, though, and Tomori could undergo his medical tests on Friday morning. This would allow him to train with the squad the same day and perhaps be called up for the game on Saturday.
