Sky: Tomori returns but Milan captain will be out for a minimum of ten days

By Isak Möller -

Fikayo Tomori has recovered from his injury and will be at AC Milan’s disposal as they will take on Monza tomorrow. However, Stefano Pioli will have to make do without captain Davide Calabria.

Calabria is struggling with a hip injury, as was confirmed by Pioli during his presser earlier today, and he will thus miss out on the action tomorrow. This means that Alexis Saelemaekers or Junior Messias will start on the right.

According to Sky Italia, as cited by Francesco Nasato, Tomori is feeling a lot better and could even start tomorrow. Calabria, meanwhile, will have to stop for ten days and then undergo a series of new tests to determine the extent of the injury.

Fortunately, thanks to the switch to a three-man backline, Calabria’s absence will not be felt that much. Furthermore, Saelemaekers has been doing a very good job on the right flank and he can alternate with Messias, or even Sergino Dest (when he is fit).
