The rumours circulating in the last few weeks turned out to be true: Rafael Leao has decided to take the No.10 shirt. After getting a new contract, the winger also wanted a new number.
Leao has been wearing the No.17 shirt since he joined Milan from Lille and most of us have become very used to that. However, with a new contract signed, the winger decided that it was time for a new number as well.
As confirmed by various sources and our correspondent Luca Maninetti, Leao will wear the No.10 shirt next season. This was made possible by the return of Brahim Diaz to Real Madrid, after spending three years at Milan on loan.
On the official store, Leao still has the No.17 but make sure to wait a couple of days before buying his shirt. Hopefully, he will continue to grow next season and establish himself as one of the best in his position.
He’s not a no. 10, but oh well, the ego has to have what the ego has to have. He should have taken no. 11 (yeah, I like traditional numbering).

Agree with Vero – Leao should have took the 7 or 11 as a a winger. Prestigious numbers for their position in tradition too

I would have thought and preferred leao to get no 7, suits his position well.
Leave no 10 to whoever going to be milan’s next attacking midfielder.
