AC Milan Women are closing in on yet another signing ahead of the upcoming season. In fact, they have reached an agreement with Roma defender Angelica Soffia, with just an official announcement missing.
As learned by our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, the Rossonere have managed to secure the signature of the 21-year-old. She mainly plays a right-back but can also be used on the opposite side, making her a versatile solution for the team.
Soffia is already making waves in the national team for Italy, which is impressive for her age, and it’s not exactly a surprise that Milan wanted her. In Maurizio Ganz’s 3-4-1-2 formation, she can be used either as a centre-back or as a wing-back.
In short, it’s a pretty significant signing by Milan from a direct competitor in the race for Champions League qualification. The official announcement is imminent and more details of the move will surely surface then.
