TMW: Spezia defender may renew deal but Milan and Juventus remain poised

By Euan Burns -

Spezia defender Jakub Kiwior could be set to renew his deal with the Aquilotti but Milan and Juventus are poised to make a move for him, a report claims.

As has been reported by TMW, it has seemed almost all season that the Polish defender will be leaving Spezia at the end of this season but now there are suggestions that he will be signing a new contract.

The likely thinking by Spezia is that if they sign him to a stronger deal, they can insert a fair release clause into the contract for a club to meet in the summer.

They are expecting to make around €23-27 million from any potential sale, which is a major capital gain having signed him from Zilina for €2.5 million. His price could raise with an impressive World Cup and he is expected to start for Poland in Qatar.

Milan are very interested and negotiated for him in the summer, whilst Juventus are also in the frame.
