Spezia director insists he has ‘heard nothing’ from Milan regarding centre-back

One of the departments that AC Milan are expected to reinforce in the summer is the defence, as Simon Kjaer isn’t getting any younger. Spezia starlet Jakub Kiwior is on their list but no contacts have been made.

Milan have been linked with Kiwior for quite some time and while the Polish international’s display at San Siro wasn’t great, he remains a target. As said, Kjaer isn’t getting any younger and the Rossoneri are aware of this.

Speaking to ANSA, as cited by Francesco Nasato, the sporting director of Spezia was asked about the future of Kiwior. He also spoke about the Swede Emil Holm, who has done very well since arriving in the summer.

“Kiwior and Holm being linked with the top clubs? I’ve read that Juventus, Milan and Inter are interested, but so far we have not heard from anyone,” Eduardo Macia said.

It remains to be seen if Milan will make a move for Kiwior in the summer. Pierre Kalulu and Fikayo Tomori are the undisputed first choices, but it’s also possible that the Rossoneri could rely on Matteo Gabbia and Malick Thiaw as the only alternatives.
