Spezia have shown an interest in signing three players from AC Milan but look like they will only get one, according to a report.
According to the La Spezia edition of Il Secolo XIX (via TMW), the Ligurian club are firmly in the market for reinforcements in each of the three outfield departments to strengthen Luca Gotti’s team ahead of the 2022-23 season, which will be their third consecutive one in the top flight.
Sampdoria midfielder Albin Ekdal and Milan defender Mattia Caldara are described as being ‘one step away’ from joining them and could arrive as early as Monday to undergo their medical tests before signing.
Spezia also wanted to sign Daniel Maldini from Milan but instead he is close to signing for Hellas Verona, and they were also keen on young Rossoneri striker Marko Lazetic but they could not guarantee either with the necessary playing time so they seem destined to move elsewhere instead.
