Sport: Milan express interest in Betis star but €35m price tag repels

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan have been linked with many right-wingers this summer and the search is seemingly continuing for the Rossoneri. The latest name to be linked with them is Nabil Fekir, the Real Betis star.

The former Lyon man can play both as an attacking midfielder and a right-winger, which is exactly the profile Milan are looking for. However, Charles De Ketelaere remains the primary target and a big investment will be made for him.

According to Spanish outlet SPORT, though, Milan and Roma have both expressed their interest in Fekir after the successful 2021/22 season. The 28-year-old found the back of the net ten times and also bagged ten assists (all comps).

Fekir doesn’t want to leave the club, though, and a price tag of €35m has also been slapped on him. Lyon are entitled to 30% of the transfer fee and Betis paid €20m for the player in 2019, hence the high price tag.

Furthermore, as said, Milan are fully focused on De Ketelaere right now and Fekir will most likely only be an option if that doesn’t materialise.
