Sportitalia: Wigan stalling on two offers for €12m star as they wait for Milan to move

By Oliver Fisher -

Wigan Athletic have received two offers for left-back Antonee Robinson but are waiting to see if Milan present a bid, a report claims.

It seemed as though the Rossoneri would make a concrete offer for Robinson given that Ricardo Rodriguez was set to complete a move to Fenerbahce.

However, the Turkish Football Federation imposed a restriction on Fenerbahce signing players due to FFP, though that was then lifted and the deal was expected to go through.

Our mercato correspondent Vito Angele told us on Tuesday morning that the deal which would send Rodriguez to Fenerbahce has halted and that there is currently no possibility for a transfer to Turkey, but widespread reports are now claiming that Napoli are closing in on a deal for the former Wolfsburg man.

According to Alfredo Pedulla of Sportitalia, Wigan already have two offers on the table for Antonee Robinson, the player who is believed to be Milan’s first choice to replace Rodriguez.

However, the Championship side are waiting to see how Rodriguez’s move to Napoli progresses, hinting that they are still open to – and perhaps would prefer – selling to Milan.

For the 22-year-old full-back the request from the English side is currently around €10-12million, as per MilanNews.it’s recent report.
