Suma: Aouar and Ziyech ‘not part’ of Milan’s January transfer strategy – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Over the last few weeks, AC Milan have been linked with two players in particular, namely Houssem Aouar and Hakim Ziyech. However, Mauro Suma has shut down the rumours in his latest editorial.

The Rossoneri are evaluating potential reinforcements in January, currently sitting eight points behind the league leaders Napoli. Aouar and Ziyech have both been mentioned as options for next month, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

In his latest editorial for MilanNews, the well-known MilanTV pundit and commentator Mauro Suma has shared his thoughts on the rumours. He wrote that the two aren’t part of the Rossoneri’s mercato plans for next month.

“There are many names, mercato suggestions, that have become fetishes for the Milan fans over the last few years. The latest one added to that bunch is Ziyech, a strong player, tickling the fine palate of the Rossoneri fans.

“However, Ziyech and also Aouar are not part of the Rossoneri mercato. Just like Asensio and Berardi were never part of it, with all due respect, last summer,” he wrote.

It remains to be seen what Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will do, come next month, but lately the feeling has been that the action might be minimal. The new signings from the summer are yet to blossom and getting them into form could be the boost needed.
