AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli could change formation again after the international break and it may well benefit Charles De Ketelaere, a report claims.
De Ketelaere was Milan’s big splash during the 2022 summer transfer window and was meant to be the signing that gave the whole attacking department a boost following the Scudetto win, but so far he is yet to score and has just one assist.
Brahim Diaz has been getting the nod in the front three alongside Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao in the 3-4-2-1 formation, but La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) believe that going back to the 4-2-3-1 is possible.
With that formation, De Ketelaere would have three potential roles, starting with the most obvious which is as the playmaker behind the centre-forward. However, he could also play wide on the right over Junior Messias or Alexis Saelemaekers, or even up front as a ‘false nine’ just like he had success doing at Club Brugge.
I’ll say it again. Put him on the right wing. Trust me
To me, he looked better as a striker..
Striker with 0 goals? Yeeeeeah, maybe it’s better to keep using Giroud there who can actually score.
Theorize all you want about where is best. Truth is nothing will work until he gets confidence. Once that happens he’ll be fine. If it never happens then he’ll continue to be a bust, is what it is.
And he won’t be getting that confidence this season. Bench him and let the others show what they can do.
CDK is left footed and he shoots very well. He would be better as a RW. I don’t understand Pioli. Smh

We need him after Diaz is gone. Bring Aouar as replacement and send Adli on loan. On right and left wing we need new acquisitions,.
Cdk should just rest so that he can regain his form Milan should let him know that CDK should fight for shirt for him to improve he just lost flexibility. His not the way he his before so let him improve well for now Diaz and krunic really improve so let them play as a natural 10.in the 4-2-3-1
How many formation Pioli needs to change for this kid?
If next season he still sucks then Milan needs to accept that he’s not fit with Milan and sell him.

It’s pretty clear that we need 3 in the middle and Leao out left. Tonali and Bennacer are getting overrun by every side that plays 3.
It should help us to find out if Aster is what we really want. Get Leao in form even if it is just to re-establish his sale value.
