Taking a look at AC Milan’s January signings in the last five years

By Isak Möller -

As the January window will officially open tomorrow for Italian clubs, the AC Milan management is working hard to provide Stefano Pioli with a few reinforcements after a very poor start to the season.

In the last five years, the Rossoneri have made at least one signing in the January windows. Of course, it’s an opportunity to fix issues that have appeared during the first half of the season, such as Milan’s struggling attack.

Of course, Zvone Boban and Paolo Maldini have already addressed this by announcing Zlatan Ibrahimovic last week. However, they aren’t done yet and a few more signings are expected before the window closes.

Down below, with the help of Transfermarkt, we have collected all of the winter signings that the Rossoneri have made in the last five years, not including this year.

2014/15: Luca Antonelli (loan), Salvatore Bochetti (loan), Mattia Destro (loan), Gabriel Paletta (€2.5m), Suso (€1.3m), Fernando Torres (€3m).

2015/16: Kevin-Prince Boateng (free transfer).

2016/17: Gerard Deulofeu (loan), Lucas Ocampos (loan), Marco Storari (free transfers).

2017/18:

2018/19: Lucas Paqueta (€38.4m), Kris Piatek (€38m).
