AC Milan could be given a big boost in their hopes of offloading Lucas Paqueta as Arsenal may be set to give Lyon the funds they need.
Eyebrows were raised on Wednesday when it was confirmed that Pioli had left Paqueta out of the 20-man squad for Thursday’s trip to face Shamrock Rovers in the Europa League, given the fact Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao will miss out.
Vito Angele reported that Paquetá not being called up is a technical choice from Pioli, as the Rossoneri head coach is not satisfied with his performance in training and the club’s management are continuing to try and sell him on the market, with Lyon frontrunner.
French channel Telefoot (via MilanNews) says Arsenal are ready to offer €40m to secure Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar. Should the playmaker depart the Ligue 1 giants, sporting director
Juninho could then move to land Lucas Paquetà from Milan, as they would then have the economic availability to be able to complete the operation.
