AC Milan will take on Monza in less than an hour and a total of seven players have been left out of the clash. While some of the exclusions are for injuries, others are pretty obvious mercato signals.
Tonight’s clash between Milan and Monza is the first edition of the Trofeo Silvio Berlusconi, in honour of the legendary president who recently passed away. Stefano Pioli named his starting XI a few minutes ago and you can take a look at that here.
As the XI was announced, so was the entire squad for the clash. Interestingly enough, seven first-team players are missing from the list and they are the following: Fode Balo-Toure, Davide Calabria, Mattia Caldara, Charles De Ketelaere, Marko Lazetic, Junior Messias and Divock Origi.
While Calabria and Messias are recovering from injury, the exclusion of others has to do with the mercato. De Ketelaere, for example, is just one step away from Atalanta and Origi is no longer in the plans of the club.
why not try out Caldara
He’s totally done as a player. He was bad on loan last season.
