MN: Theo Hernandez back to his best vs. Fiorentina but attacking output has stalled

By Oliver Fisher -

Theo Hernandez looked back to his sharp and influential best during the win and clean sheet against Fiorentina, a report claims.

MilanNews recall how Theo’s performance was praised by the major Italian newspapers and not just because of the threat he posed going forward like usual but also because he kept a very dangerous winger like Nico Gonzalez in check at the other end.

Theo’s personal target in the last three matches of the season is to score his first goal (or goals) since the win over Venezia on 9 January, in which he scored a brace, and he knows that each contribution from here on could be absolutely vital in the title push.

Theo Hernandez has played 38 games this season so far, for a total of 3283 minutes, making him the Rossoneri most used by Pioli in terms of minutes, above Mike Maignan (3270 minutes) and Fikayo Tomori (3095 minutes).

The former Real Madrid man has scored 4 goals and provided 9 total assists this season, and the match against Vincenzo Italiano’s Fiorentina confirmed once again the strength of Milan’s left wing.

The Hernandez-Leao pairing has caused havoc for the majority of the season and they must continue fight with determination to the end, and the Frenchman hopes to add to his tally which was mostly collected in the first half of the season.
