Watch: Theo Hernandez and Rebic score to give Milan the lead after early Udinese goal

AC Milan scored twice in quick succession to quickly overturn an early deficit against Udinese in the season opener at San Siro.

The equalising goal came just a few minutes after Rodrigo Becao’s header had given the away side the lead. Davide Calabria was upended trying to get on the end of a rebound and the referee gave a penalty after consulting VAR, which Theo Hernandez scored.

The second goal came not long after the leveller, and this time it was Ante Rebic on hand to fire home from the penalty spot, but after a cut-back from Calabria.

  1. And they say we don’t need another def. Those 2 goals are exactly the reason why we need Botman (or other) who has clear advantage on aerial duel. Let’s prepare many other teams will play cross here cross there like Udinese did here.

    1. No disrespect but that’s absolute bs, the second goal was completely Messias falling asleep and the first, Rebic was on Becao

          1. We only conceded 2 goals in the last 10-11 games last season (cmiiw). And now in 1 game. Although we win (finger crossed), this match should be heavily evaluated.

  2. We are too weak on aerial . Need defender like botman or ndicka that strong on aerial. Ndicka are very good for long term partner with tomori while kalulu go to RB

  3. Impatient Milan fans, when your opponent scores you find fault on your players, when your team scores you celebrate, football is all about mistakes and miscalculation then the opponent pounce on the opportunity, you guys should be calm and wait for 90mins before you start your judgement, remember this is the first game of the season and alot of mistakes will be done both Milan and opposition but from there we grow as a team, these guys are not robots pls, let give them time,I believe in this team and humans are not always 100%. Forza Milan
