AC Milan must secure the long-term future of Rafael Leao sooner rather than later due to three key reasons, a report claims.
After scoring the opening goal against Genoa on Friday night, Leao is approaching double figures in Serie A goals having moved onto nine. It is certainly the best season he has had since arriving at Milan back in the summer of 2019, and he is demonstrating his development.
Calciomercato.com writes that there are at least three obvious reasons why it is necessary that Milan strike a deal with Leao and his agent Jorge Mendes to extend his contract.
First of all, the Rossoneri cannot afford to start next season with the anxiety of having a player one year from the end of his contract in the following summer (his current deal expires in 2024).
