The negotiation for the transfer of Charles De Ketelaere from AC Milan to Atalanta continues, and they remain the favourites to land him.
According to a report from TMW, Wolfsburg, Fulham and Real Sociedad are all interested but at present Atalanta remain the first choice destination for the the Belgian attacking midfielder because he is convinced that their project is the best.
The player has agreed to keep the contract currently in place with Milan and the salary level, but work is underway to find the balance on a signing bonus and on commissions linked to the option to buy being triggered.
There was an initial meeting at La Dea’s Zingonia headquarters on Tuesday, a new discussion yesterday and again today the parties will talk to each other again to find a balance.
An agreement with Milan has already been found on the basis of a €3m paid loan with a €26m option to buy plus another €4m in bonuses, thus an operation worth a potential €33m.
