TMW journalist believes Milan are closing in on agreement with Ibrahimovic

By Oliver Fisher -

An agreement will soon be reached between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and AC Milan over a return to the club, one journalist claims.

The Swede is Milan’s main target for the January transfer window, with the club’s owners Elliott Management desperate to fix both the goalscoring and leadership issues in one swoop.

According to TMW’s Enzo Bucchioni – as cited by MilanNews.it – there will be a final agreement reached between Ibrahimovic and Milan next week.

He adds that the player wants Milan and Milan wants him, and that the signals have been unequivocal for at least a month and a half.

Agent Mino Raiola is currently finalising all the details of the contract, Bucchioni continues, and Milan have been made aware that Ibra will not accept just a dry six-month deal as a principle of pride and self-esteem.

Raiola is trying to replace the option for a further year with a direct contract until June 2021, basically an 18-month deal, with a current difference of €2-3million difference between supply and demand.

The journalist concludes by adding that Milan’s owners Elliott Management will not allow the deal to collapse under those figures, especially given how important his addition could be.
