TMW: Milan lead Man City, Man Utd in race for Norwegian sensation – deal possible in next 48 hours

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking to try and close a deal for Bodo/Glimt star Jens Petter Hauge within the next 48 hours, a report claims.

On Friday morning we reported exclusively about Milan’s interest in the Norwegian youngster and that the Rossoneri are expected to make a serious move for the player in the coming days, having already contacted Hauge’s agent.

According to Fabrizio Romano’s latest update on Twitter, Milan are ‘confident’ of completing the deal for Hauge in the next few days. The agreement with Bodø Glimt is now getting closer and ‘the player is keen to join Milan’. He adds that his famous ‘Here we go’ is expected next week.

Now, TMW have given their update. They claim that Manchester City and Brighton have made offers for the 20-year-old, but Milan are ahead of everyone for the Norwegian talent.

They report that Milan have made an initial offer of €4m including bonuses but Bodo/Glimt want €6m. Maldini and Massara want to close the deal and have never interrupted telephone contacts. Soon, probably by Tuesday, a meeting will take place to close the operation.

Hauge for his part has given his priority to Milan, and the deal can be done at around €5m.

Gianluca Di Marzio claims that there is competition from other clubs such as Manchester United, RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg.
