TMW: Milan submit fresh bid for Brazilian; player wants move

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have submitted a new bid for Shakhtar Donetsk star Taison in the hopes of getting a late deal done, a report claims.

The Rossoneri look set to get at least one signing over the line on deadline day, with Ante Rebic currently in Milano ready to undergo a medical.

As was revealed to us by our mercato expert Vito Angele, Rebic will arrive on loan with an option to buy, while Andre Silva will move the other way on the same terms.

However, Di Marzio claimed on Sunday night that Milan might not be content with just Rebic.

The Brazilian was mentioned by Angele in his exclusive for us on Sunday as a potential late target for Paolo Maldini and co.

The 31-year-old has a release clause of €30m but that is an amount that Milan are not happy to pay, but TMW are now claiming that a new bid of €20m has been submitted.

In addition to that, the player is now pushing for the move which should help the Rossoneri’s case, and they also claim that Shakhtar are trying to sign Yeven Konoplyanka from Schalke as his replacement.
