Alexis Saelemaekers appears to be on his way out of AC Milan and there are reportedly two clubs in LaLiga who have expressed interest.
According to the latest from TMW, Villarreal were the first team to come forward and express an interest in signing Saelemaekers but they are not the only team in Spain who are keen, because Real Betis are also after the Belgian.
Saelemaekers joined Milan in January 2020, and in his three and a half year spell he managed to amass 140 appearances, scoring 10 goals. He has often been considered one of Stefano Pioli’s loyalists, given how much he has been used.
However, the signings of Christian Pulisic, Samuel Chukwueze and even Luka Romero have made it clear that Milan are heading in a different direction.
Their new-look right wing threatens to give the former Anderlecht man very little playing time. He is training aside from the first team squad, which indicates that he is no longer a central part of the plans.
I like Saelemaekers but there is no longer Space for him. Pioli wont play him as RB. I think a fee for around 10mil would be Good for him. I know some of you want 15-20 mil. but that ist for me Not realistic, given that we signed okafor for 14mil.
It would be nice to see him go to Betis and stay in the Champions League. I feel like if he doesn’t pick up the injury last season, he was on the way to having a breakout moment. Hopefully wherever he goes he will get the game time to see out his potential.

totally realistic. Transfermarkt has him at 15M and he has a contract till 2026
I like him and think he is going to blow up in a couple of years. He has shown signs of blowing it up with his movement and technique, and just needs the end product now.
I wish them the best wherever he goes. I wouldn’t mind if he was just loaned.

Looking at his stats, we no doubt have seen a major upgrade on the right side. But still, he’s probably the better player that’s departing and we should be able to get at least 15 million. I’d say even 20 million.
We can’t be cheap selling any longer.
