Tonali admits Fiorentina clash will be ‘complicated’ but highlights ‘push’ of Milan fans

Ahead of the game between AC Milan and Fiorentina, which will kick off in less than 30 minutes, Sandro Tonali spoke to the media about the Rossoneri’s task. The midfielder, as we know, scored the winner last time out.

Thanks to Tonali’s goal, Milan are currently two points ahead of their city rivals Inter, who will face Udinese away from home later today. The game against Fiorentina, therefore, is an extremely important one for the Rossoneri.

Speaking to MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, Tonali shared his thoughts on facing Fiorentina. Milan lost the reverse fixture and the midfielder admitted that it will be a tough game, but also praised the fans for the amazing support.

On the winner vs. Lazio…

“It was the winning goal, it was what we worked for and what we played for. Winning is good for everyone and is good for us. Today too. It will be a complicated game, but we have to work as we did in Rome to get the three points.”

Fiorentina won the reverse fixture…

“They are a tough team. We know their skill, we hope that it will be a different game at San Siro than in the reverse fixture.”

Even today, Milan fans are present in great numbers…

“For us, it’s wonderful to play with a full stadium. Already in Rome, we felt the extra push, maybe we will feel it even more today.”

San Siro is sold out for the clash and it should be a great atmosphere for the players. Of course, there is a lot of pressure on them but they have shown that they can cope before. Hopefully, that will be the case today as well.
