Sandro Tonali has joined the list of those who have criticised referee Daniel Siebert for his performance in AC Milan’s 2-0 defeat to Chelsea.
The main moment of controversy was the penalty and Fikayo Tomori’s red card which came in the 18th minute after it was adjudged that Mason Mount was held back by the defender despite the fact he got his shot away. Then, it seemed as though the German referee was giving one card per foul to Milan players.

Tonali spoke to Milan TV at the end of the game and he was keen to stress just how much Siebert influenced the way the game was played, with MilanNews relaying his comments.
“There were some fouls and some contacts but every foul was a yellow for us, sometimes you were also worried about coming in late so as not to get a yellow card after a quarter of an hour,” he said.
“This really weighs on a Champions League game, we tried to keep that pace. In the first half there were many yellows and one red, in a Champions League game it seems like a lot to me, I have not seen bad fouls, without mentioning the penalty incident. The game was based on this but we must have the strength not to do it.”
On the fans: “We are sorry for our fans that every game supports us from the first to the last minute. From the penalty incident we pulled out everything we had and really did everything. It was already complicated eleven against eleven and it was complicated in ten even putting the heart and all the strength we had.”
On the next games: “We have seen that we have the strength to make a point after the defeats. We must have the strength to do it even now. In the Champions League everything is in our hands, in the league we are three points away from the first in the standings. We must continue like this by letting these defeats go. We know that we are strong and we have everything in our hands.”

Our coach needs to stop using Krunic for the better part of this season when there is pobega who is better on the offense and in the defense than Krunic. It took the coach forever to understand that Diaz can actually perform on the right wing in the absence of Messias, it’s also him too much time to see that Krunic doesn’t really give us much option in front when we play against big teams. He has no creativity and he is slow and zero passes. We need to start using Adli in the league right now and alternate between CDK and Diaz when Messias fully recovers.
