MN: Tonali’s shows his attachment to Milan with memorable celebration

By Oliver Fisher -

It is perhaps no coincidence that the player who scored arguably AC Milan’s biggest goal of the season so far was the man who feels such a strong attachment to the club in Sandro Tonali.

MilanNews writes how Tonali is a boyhood Milan fan and therefore it is natural that he feels a certain type of emotion, celebrating the goals and victories like he would if he were sat in the stands as a fan, just as he did growing up.

The Italy international again offered a performance of the highest level in substance and quality in the middle of the field, with 6 tackles out of 7 won and standing out against three Biancocelesti players in the midfield who certainly have their own quality.

To crown the game he scored the goal that decided the match with a smartly timed run into the area, a control with his knee and a toepoke goalwards with the strength of someone who wants to achieve a dream.

He took off his shirt, ran towards his fellow fans screaming and celebrating together with his team-mates, showing a ‘warm heart and cold mind’ as well as the hunger, spirit of sacrifice and enthusiasm needed to be in the battle to win the league. The image of Tonali in front of the fans could yet be talked about for years to come.

  1. Tonali is a true milanisti,I hope he wins the champions league with this shirt,I love him so much,as well as Theo Hernandez..up Milan.. let go for the remaining games and see what happens..

  2. It’s because he grew up this way, it’s in his blood. He’s only 1 of 2 italians in the team, so so so sad. Forza Tonali!

    1. Well technically, that is not true that he is one of only 2 Italians…
      1. Tonali
      2. Calabria
      3. Florenzi
      4. Gabbia
      5. Maldini
      6. Mirante
      7. Romagnoli (yes, I know he’s probably leaving)

And we have some good Italian prospects on the primavera side…

But I understand where you’re coming from as the bottom players on that list don’t play much.
Anyway, if we picked up Berardi, then that would be a good Italian to add to our weak RW position!

  3. The players could be from Mars, who cares, and the fans of the Rossoneri are worldwide as well, Forza. As to Tonali, he is the heart and soul of the team. He is our “cane pazzo” . Appropriate that he scores the winner against Lazio with Ibra getting the assist.
