AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali is expecting an intense derby against Inter, with the team having learned from their mistakes.
The derby between the red and blue side of Milano is always a fascinating spectacle, but it carries a bit more meaning at the moment given how the two sides have risen to prominence in the race for the title again over the past couple of seasons.
It also carries a bit of extra weight for Tonali who was actually close to joining Inter from Brescia back in summer 2020 before the Rossoneri swooped in, and he will represent his boyhood club again tonight in their biggest game.
Tonali spoke to the microphones of Milan TV ahead of the game to preview what will be another exciting instalment of the derby, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.
On the derby: “It will certainly be an intense match. We have worked a lot this week, even on our mistakes from previous matches. There was no way to review everything. We know that it is not a game like any other and we must take the victory home.
“I think this derby is based on the key incidents and keeping concentration throughout the match. It was fundamental last year, just one action is enough to change the story of the match.”
