Luka Jovic Milan

CM: Torino tracking Jovic’s situation after Beto drawback – the details

AC Milan could make some moves up front in the January window, and the movement of Luka Jovic could be pivotal to any moves.

It is certainly an interesting situation on the front line for Milan. Alvaro Morata offers a decent option to replace Olivier Giroud, but his goalscoring numbers are not the same, and Francesco Camarda is one of the best young strikers in the world.

Between them sits Tammy Abraham – who has been questionable for large parts of his loan spell so far – and Luka Jovic – who has rarely featured for Paulo Fonseca since his arrival in the summer.

The latter has been linked with several clubs in the past few months, with the Rossoneri looking to part ways with the Serbian, and Galatasaray have seemed the most likely option so far, however, a new team has entered the mix.

This evening, Calciomercato.com have reported that Torino have made attempts for Everton striker Beto, but the move would require heavy financial input, which has put them off the deal. For this reason, Jovic could be considered by the Turin outfit.

With the Diavolo looking at making a move for Samuele Ricci in January, perhaps the striker could be used in a potential deal, alternatively, the funds from the midfielder could bridge a gap in the negotiations with Everton.

A situation to watch with interest, perhaps.

  1. It’ll never make sense to me how the only Striker we currently have who’s proven he can score for us is somehow last on the list for clownseca. 9 goals off the bench last season, and yet Abraham is somehow preferred as he misses shots from 3 yards. And I don’t wanna hear injury problems cuz Morata is injured every 3rd week. Fonseca is just stubborn and trying to prove the player he wanted like Abraham and Emerson will work, but we all know the answer to that

    1. Honestly, I don’t know how a coach just comes in and decided a player doesn’t fit into his strategy. Imagine Pioli at Al Nassr using a player like Ghareeb and then imagine Pioli at AC MILAN saying a player like Ghareeb doesn’t fit into his tactics. There’s no such thing as that and if there was such a thing well look at Tammy – the player who supposedly fits into Fonsy’s tactics. If you wanna make it work, you’ll find a way. I mean who’d have thought Jimenez was ready to play? These players are almost shit here but when they go elsewhere they play great. Just feels as if prime Messi won’t be able to do jack in this team. What’s wrong with us really? 🤦🏾‍♂️

    2. Completely agree fonseca is stubborn he wants to get rid of the good players we had like theo and rafa and want to bring in players from his older teams like Abraham

      1. That’s just total nonsense you’re thinking.

Fonseca wants to get rid of Rafa and Theo?
However did you come 2 that conclusion?
Those two are in top 5 in minutes played this season. I checked, just now.
If you want to get rid of players, you don’t play them, right?

And Fonseca never had Abraham at roma. The st he had were dzeko, schick, kalinic and mayoral.

    3. He likes strikers who can track back, work from midfield, albeit strikers who roam freely, not a “box 6 striker” like Jovic, even Oli won’t work well with him.

      1. That’s bad because it’s not working. A striker’s primary job is scoring GOALS. So Morata may be a better player but Jovic is a better striker. We need a striker up front not a playmaker. Fonseca inventing and failing.

      2. Btw I’ve realised that Morata can’t even play-make. A lot of his passes are misplaced and controlling the ball is a drama, he either wins a foul or loses it diving. It’s always a battle for him in possession. I’d never play him.

    1. Exactly! This is poor management. We even gave him the number 9 shirt as well LMAO 😂 wtf. Good backup last year, doesn’t even play this year (granted injury etc)….the usual pattern under Fonsy

    2. To make money. Jovic was a free transfer and featured in preseason and was praised by Fonseca. Nearly every bench player that was praised by Fonseca during preseason was shipped out.

Then when a sale didn’t materialize he was frozen out after one game. The injury was only recent.
