FT: Torino 2-3 Milan

HUGE WIN! HUGE WIN! Milan are back at the top of the standings thanks to the super-sub performance of Christian Pulisic, who came on and bagged a brace for the Rossoneri. The second half was also much better than the first overall, so that was encouraging to see.

Five minutes added on.

90'

Pulisic gets his hat-trick but the flag is correctly up for offside on Nkunku.

87'
Third sub for Milan...

On: Estupinan.

Off: Saelemaekers.

86'

Torino now pushing for an equaliser, with Milan a little more happy to sit back and defend.

77'
GOAL! PULISIC STRIKES AGAIN!

WHAT A MAN YOU ARE! Ricci finds Pulisic inside the box and with his left foot, yet again, the No.11 finds the back of the net. Milan are in the lead!

Torino denied a goal by a foul on Saelemaekers, the referee first let the play go on by then blew his whistle.

GOAL! PULISIC SCORES THE EQUALISER!

The ball lands at Captain America’s feet in the box and he makes no mistakes with the finish, 2-2! Saelemaekers with the assist, it should be noted, having just moved over to the left flank.

Second sub for Milan...

On: Pulisic.

Off: Bartesaghi.

55'
How did that not go in?!

Great chance for Milan to level the game! Rabiot finds Bartesaghi inside the box, who forces a great save out of the goalkeeper, and the rebound is then nearly converted by Ricci.

47'

Nkunku backheels it towards goal after a great run by RLC, but the effort is saved by the keeper.

We are back underway!

A much better performance will be needed in the second half, but truth be told, it’s very difficult to imagine a comeback for Milan. Pulisic is still on the bench too.

HT: Torino 2-1 Milan

Not the first half we were hoping for. Torino got two goals very quickly and Milan need an absolute worldie to get back into the game. They are still struggling with creating chances and with Leao out injured, that could remain an issue in the second half.

45'

Four minutes added on.

So close!

Rabiot fires just wide! That was a nice pass by Saelemaekers and almost a lovely volley finish by the Frenchman.

40'

A lot of possession for Milan, as usual, but they are struggling to create meaningful chances beyond corners and the odd free-kick here and there.

31'
First sub for Milan...

On: Ricci

Off: Leao.

30'
Oh no...

Leao is injured and most definitely won’t be able to continue. He just stopped immediately there, looks like a groin injury of some sort.

That goal is well worth another look...
26'

A goal from Rabiot was exactly what Allegri called for after the defeat to Lazio, given just how prolific the Frenchman can be.

24'
GOAL! WHAT A STRIKE BY RABIOT!

OH MY WORD! That is some strike from Rabiot, who beats the goalkeeper from distance to bring Milan back into the game. Just what they needed, especially since they hadn’t really created a chance before that.

For what it’s worth, that wasn’t a foul on Nkunku. He went down way too easily, so the right decision was made.

Yellow card for Maignan

Milan are really upset with the goal as they believe it should have been a free-kick for Nkunku, a yellow card for Maignan due to protesting.

  1. let’s see..
ohh he’s the bench warmer this game. noo.. hope him come on and play. needs him to put up the show haha

  2. We are not built for a comeback. It will be interesting to see how long Nkunku lasts now with Pulisic on the bench

  3. Milan still has the low IQ issue when attacking. Dunno what to do with the ball and attacking movement in the final third.

  4. Nkunku looks like he has zero confidence. He is providing absolutely NOTHING. I don’t care what state Pulisic is on, start him in the second half or we lose this game.

  5. Actually worrying situation that Milan is experiencing with its attacker. Not able
    To
Keep anyone not injured, Gimenez and Nkunku providing nothing. Constantly having to rely on magic from puli or a random mid field or defender. We are gonna start dropping points unless we figure out new attacking options

  6. Nkunku has always have Milan play with a player less. Nothing defensively and not contributing absolutely nothing in attack or build up play.

No shout on target no passes just jogging around the field like old Rafa

  7. No idea at all why Bartesaghi is coming off for Pulisic I stead of Nkunku

Though why Pulisic is on is unquestionable

  8. I’ll take the roasting – Ricci is better -on the whole – than Fofana for us.

In my opinion Fofana may disrupt more and win more balls, but Ricci does way more with the balls he wins

    1. No roasting, you are entitled to your opinion. Allegri has Ricci seemingly at the bottom of the pecking order. Otherwise I think he would have started him tonight in place of RLC?

  9. This team isn’t one for those with a heart condition.

It wasn’t pretty to start with, but we had a spectacular comeback.

Hopefully our defense reseals itself. Ricci is coming up real good. A win is a win.
