Tranfermarkt trolls Milan in statistical comparison between Rebic and Silva

By Oliver Fisher -

Transfermarkt have stuck the boot into AC Milan over the decision to swap striker Andre Silva for winger Ante Rebic this summer.

Rebic joined the Rossoneri on deadline day after Milan had spent most of the summer negotiating for Atletico Madrid’s Angel Correa, but things have not gone smoothly.

The Croatia international is yet to make a start since his arrival, even despite a change in head coach at the beginning of last months.

Meanwhile Andre Silva – who moved the other way to Eintracht in a two-year loan swap – has enjoyed much more success in his new surroundings.

Transfermarkt, via their Twitter profile, have published a graphic comparing the numbers of Rebic and Silva so far this season, with the comment: “Rebic vs Silva, the exchange for now only makes Eintracht smile.”

Silva has played 550 minutes to Rebic’s 127, scoring three goals and adding an assist in seven appearances, while Rebic is yet to notch either in five outings.
