GdS: A 16th Milan goal for ‘Turbo Theo’ – the Rossoneri cannot live without him

By Oliver Fisher -

After struggling for parts of the early season, AC Milan full-back Theo Hernandez had the desired impact off the bench against Venezia last night.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes, Theo was thrown into the fray in the second half and opened the game up after 68 minutes of difficulty, first providing a lovely assist for Brahim Diaz and then netting the second goal with a sensational shot into the bottom corner.

Speed and intensity were enough to eventually unlock the Venezia defence and the Frenchman appeared on the pitch at the right time. Fode Ballo-Touré got his first start which caused some raised eyebrows, and in the end Theo couldn’t enjoy a full night off, but his contribution sealed three important points.

Last night perhaps showed that the team cannot do without ‘Turbo Theo’ Hernandez, who will return from the start with Spezia and will also be the starter in the Champions League, against Atletico.

After the game, he said: “Scudetto targett? Yes, we are going to fight to win the title. A place in the Champions League is not enough.”
