The future of Charles De Ketelaere must be resolved in the coming days and weeks, with Atalanta not the only club interested.
According to TuttoAtalanta.com, it is Atalanta who still seem to be in the lead to secure the services of De Ketelaere. However, it is not a one-way race, with teams including Ajax, Wolfsburg, Real Sociedad and Fulham all expressing strong interest in the Belgian.
De Ketelaere will leave Milan, that much seems certain, and Atalanta have long been seen as the most likely destination for the young playmaker.
However, with the transfer still not finalised due to disagreements over commissions and other parts of the deal, other clubs are looking to capitalise on the situation.
Ajax, Wolfsburg, Real Sociedad and Fulham are all closely watching the evolution of things, ready to make a move if the Atalanta deal fails.
The competition for De Ketelaere underlines how sought-after he is, and while the Bergamo club remain confident in closing the operation, pressure from other clubs could complicate matters.
CDK pushes for Ajax if he is smart. Will gain everything back he lost in a very short period.
Definitely!
Will he have a starting spot at Ajax?
i think cdk and atalanta is “kot ata na mamo”.
or “like a glove”
Ajax not so much since they use 433
Please someone for the love of God take him! How can one guy create two of the most interminable transfer sagas of all time in two years? One coming in and one going out.
It feels like they are tanking deals on purpose. Doesn’t make any sense of course because the deal from Atalanta is a good one, and it gives him an opportunity to restart his career. If they’re trying to force his stay, then, that is a terrible decision.
otherwise, if I am his agent, I am begging him to move on, and re-discover himself. I am not asking for higher wages or commissions.
Agents hardly look out for player interest these days. It’s all about their cut
You’d think they would. Like try to work on a future investment and have future transfer fee cuts. But often people just look at the present.
Ajax might be even more suitable than Atalanta, because they are Ajax and not in the domestic league. I’d rather we not strengthen rivals.
I just hope he finds a suitable place to have a career and I think it will be best for both sides to part ways.
Funny how our fans are begging to get to rid of a player as the most reputable team for identifying and developing talents want to take him off our hands. If that, his former coaches and industry experts all agree he is a fantastic player, yet our track record is letting go sure talents like Locatelli, Donnaruma, Kessie, Hakan, Tonali, or get crumbs, all to save a few million in wages a year to spend almost a hundred million in transfer fees, by selling our best player in a weak position after failing to qualify for the CL while advocating for keeping a 30 year old midfielder with mediocre skills.
With the exception of our goalkeeper, this policy has been an utter disaster and our internal wage ceilings that management thiught was fair or equitable for players earning multiples more elsewhere since leavint has cost us more than we saved.
Barely any goals scored in preseason, the same issue for 2 years, yet some can shit on CDK. Krunic didn’t contribute more than him to make us win over 3 years with unwavering trust from our coach.
Seemingly no one here can identify the true problem, upper management and people inside our club that failed to make proper risk assessments, valuations of our own players, their skills and cost of replacing the adequately, yet you guys drink their kool aid and shit on one of the most promising players we have after a lifechanging transfer and no preseason to prepare.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool you twice, shame on me, three times, well we have to say we are dealing with fools.
Same story 3 years in a row yet we think we made progress….
Of course of course…nothing can actually be CDK’s fault can it? If he’d scored a few goals or got a few assists we wouldn’t be trying to get rid of him would we?
“But he didn’t get a preseason 😭😭😭”

Barely any goals scored in preseason, for the TEAM ,the same issue for 2 years, yet some can throw shade on CDK. He had a life anging transfer and no preseason. Playing 15 games total when we had 3 competitions and our best players in the world cup. Same story 3 years in a row yet we think we made progress….take out 5 appearances or 6 from that total as preseason, that is 10 games. We shouldn’t panick for the team because it is only a few games, yet your own player doesn’t get the same leniency.
Locatelli and Hakan were so inconsistent it was angering. But Hakan, Kessie and Donnarumma being let go for free is on prior management. This management was upfront and reinvested into the team.
I do get it. And I have many problems with prior management. We lost probably over 100m+ because of it.
Has any club put offers totalling 100m for those players before they run out their contract?
Management didn’t even try. If you think we couldn’t have got any money for Hakan, Kessie or Donnarumma prior to the expiration of their contracts lullllllzzzzzz….
I agree with you on most your points but Donnaruma was a blessing in disguise bc Maignan is a beast! But, yeah it’s sad this algorithm doesn’t identify that we have a bum playing regista currently and our striker is 37 (even though he can still produce, but Father Time is creeping up on him).
Four club are waiting to loan this mediocre player not buying him permanently. What make it worst ? Agent asking hefty commission for mediocre player . If he want fantastic salary and hefty commission go to saudi club , but thats if saudi club interesting with him , im doubt even saudi club want to sign him
Sure if Reccaman from god knows where says he is mediocre he must be who gives a f about experts and people that worked with the player and their opinions. I hope Reccaman that you and people like you will have large shovels in couple of years because it will be hard for you guys to digest all sht you sprouted about this player.
This player position are false nine . His job are score goal , he can do that in belgium league but not in top 3 league in europe. Even he is afraid accept other club offer and choose rotting in bench , such mediocre mentality you expect success? He is homesick and cannot play well far from his family. Do you watch euro u21 ? Even belgium u21 coach cannot deploy him well. In club brugge he can score goal because he is treating special in that club or you can say golden boy but in ACM he is just ordinary boy that nothing special . Unless he train hard to become RW or AmF then you can say his career wont up if he still insist to become false nine
