Tuttosport: Lille axis heating up for Milan amid Leao renewal and David rumours

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are looking to sign a striker this summer and one of the players on their list is Jonathan David. In addition to the Rafael Leao situation, therefore, the Rossoneri and Lille could thus meet for other matters.

Milan are struggling to find the back of the net and last night, Ante Rebic and Divock Origi both failed to replace the usual starters. In the summer, therefore, the Rossoneri are expected to sign a young striker.

According to Tuttosport (via SempreMilan), the Milan-Lille axis could heat up even more as in addition to the Leao case – which you can read more about here – they could also sit down and talks about David.

The Canadian striker, aged 23, has a price tag of €45-50m and Milan have already expressed their interest. It’s possible that they could agree to a slightly higher price tag in order to get Lille to pay the Sporting fine, which would unlock Leao’s renewal.

This season, David has found the back of the 19 times in 28 league games. In short, Milan and Lille will most certainly cross paths again in the coming weeks and months.
