Tuttosport: Ancelotti could do Maldini a favour and let Milan re-sign Real Madrid forward

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s plans to keep Brahim Diaz are currently on pause as his future at Real Madrid remains uncertain, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanLive) writes how Milan’s stance on the 21-year-old playmaker is clear: they want him back for another season at least, to play in the Champions League, to gain that experience that he still lacks and to be a useful attacking wild card.

The fate of Brahim will depend solely on the will of Carlo Ancelotti, the new Real Madrid manager, but given that he has an excellent relationship with Paolo Maldini it is possible that Ancelotti could grant an extension of his loan to Milan – maybe even with an option to buy including.

Assessments will be made shortly given that such issues are a priority for Milan, but of course there are other pressing matters such as the renewal of Hakan Calhanoglu which must be resolved.

  1. Real Madrid should not sell brahim diaz if they did they will regret it cos brahim diaz is going to become big player in future.

    1. I’d be surprised if they let him go out on loan again, but Real Madrid haven’t used an attacking midfielder for years now, so unless Ancelotti makes big changes, there’ll be limited opportunities for Diaz there (same issue as James Rodriguez had and why Isco gets limited gametime).

That said, with Kroos and Modric aging, maybe they’ll start to evolve to have less focus on wingers and more on central attacking.
