Tuttosport: Arsenal-owned striker tops wish list as Milan are willing to pay €35m

AC Milan are expected to sign a striker in the summer as Olivier Giroud isn’t exactly getting any younger. The man that currently tops their wish list is Folarin Balogun, who is destined to leave Arsenal this summer.

Balogun is currently on loan at Reims and has found the back of the net 18 times in the league. The 21-year-old has attracted the interest of several big clubs and Arsenal are expected to cash in this summer, as was first reported by The Athletic.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via SempreMilan), Milan initially seemed to have Lille star Jonathan David at the top of their wish list. However, he’s not considered the ideal striker profile and his price tag has also increased to €60m.

Instead, therefore, Milan have shifted their focus to Balogun. His price tag could rise between now and the end of the season, but it currently stands at €35m. A figure that the Rossoneri are willing to pay as long as they can secure Champions League qualification for next season.

This season, Milan have secured €125m in revenue from the Champions League, which says a lot about the competition’s importance.

    1. Yes, what we need is a short 18 year old who’s never played in Europe and who only has 5 goals in 29 appearances in his first full season. We can’t wait for development in this position. We need game ready strikers. Wahi, Balogun, Scamacca for me, in that order.

      1. Even Vinicius, Julian Alvarez, Neymar never played in Europe.. They were, all signed from Latin America.. What’s your point? Scamacca? Are you sure?
