Tuttosport: Belotti and Vlahovic remain options as Milan want long-term solution

By Isak Möller -

Milan have been heavily linked with Olivier Giroud in the last few weeks and although the Frenchman would be a good addition for next season, he’s not a name for the future. Therefore, evaluations are ongoing.

According to Tuttosport, as cited by MilanNews, Giroud should arrive from Chelsea this summer to act as an immediate deputy for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. With that said, the Frenchman doesn’t represent the future of the club.

Therefore, another striker is expected to arrive and Milan’s main idea is to invest €5-10m on a young player. However, it shouldn’t be ruled out that a more high-profile player could arrive, thus still young but more expensive.

Andrea Belotti and Dusan Vlahovic are still on Milan’s wish list, as a result, although it would be difficult to get any of them. The feeling is that the Rossoneri will end up going for a more unknown player to keep the price down.

  1. If Milan can’t afford him, fair enough, but I really don’t understand the ‘big’ clubs’ reluctance with Belotti; better than a 1-in-2.5 record for Torino, good all-round game, low maintenance, strong leadership and liked by the national team.

  2. God damn this shit Milan management, what is their quest for champions league qualifications when they aren’t prepared to invest in good signing. I’m really disappointed how they can’t even afford a player like belloti at his current market value, a very big shame on the management irrespective of their plans and strategy.

    1. I am even surprised at the management. You can’t afford Bellot at this stage. Pls we don’t want any disgrace at the champions league. Belloti will perfectly fit into our system
