Bennacer, as Pioli reiterated after the match, is a different player compared to Soauliho Meite and Sandro Tonali, without detracting from the other two. When he’s present to direct the team, you can see his influence on all of the players.
In short, he’s absolutely crucial for Milan and one of the best directors in the league, which is why several big teams are keeping an eye on his situation. Obviously, the Rossoneri will keep him for many years to come.
To certify the importance of Bennacer, the stats are very clear. With him on the pitch, Milan lost just once last year and bar the Spezia the defeat this year, they haven’t lost a game yet.
