Tuttosport: Brahim Diaz decisive for Milan – the player’s will and Real Madrid’s leverage

By Oliver Fisher -

Brahim Diaz has been one of the positive surprises in recent months as he continues to have a starting spot nailed down, but doubts remain over his future.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) talks about how Brahim Diaz has managed to become the key man on several occasions such as the Champions League games against Spurs and the matches against Napoli.

His performances in the league against Juventus and Monza at San Siro showed how he is capable of deciding a game on his own, and it feels as though he has become more consistent this season compared to his first two.

The credit also goes to Stefano Pioli who had the intuition to move the Spaniard to the right side where he has more space to dribble and create. Furthermore, it seems as though Brahim has won the competition with Charles De Ketelaere for now.

Milan want to keep him beyond the end of his loan deal which expires in June, but Real Madrid will have a big say. Los Blancos could bring him back to the Spanish capital to include him in their squad or possibly listen to the offers that arrive, not only from the Rossoneri.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara meanwhile are hoping to leverage the player’s desire to stay and intermediary Edoardo Crnjar has already been in Milano in recent weeks. However, the feeling is that the situation can only be unblocked with a meeting between the two clubs, who do however have excellent relations.
