Tuttosport: Chelsea, Real Madrid duo on five-man wish list as Milan eye two midfield signings

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have identified five targets ahead of the upcoming transfer window in what is set to be a midfield revolution, a report claims.

According to the paper edition of Tuttosport on Tuesday (via Calciomercato.it), Milan are working towards securing two signings for the midfield this summer, with Red Ball Salzburg star Dominik Szoboszlai and AZ Alkmaar captain Teun Koopmeiners the leading candidates.

CEO Ivan Gazidis’ right-hand man Hendrik Almstadt is in talks with Rob Jansen of Wasserman – the agency that represents Koopmeiners – over Koopmeiners, who could arrive for €15m.

Milan would like to close the deal for Szoboszlai first, while Tiemoue Bakayoko also remains on the radar but his salary of €6.5million per season slows things down.

Igor Liziero of Sao Paulo and Takefusa Kubo of Real Madrid are also on the club’s radar in what promises to be a revolutionary overhaul in the summer, as Franck Kessie and Lucas Paqueta could leave.

  1. First of all we must sign Slobozai at all cost! Second Koopmeineers, Bakayoko and Liziero all play the same position, and i would take creativeness and skill filled with defending like a player over other way around! Cause of course our first target were lost to inter in Tonali!

  2. Milan are never serious with their transfer of players. That’s how they lost Sensi, Barella and now Tonalli to Inter milan. If time is not taken, milan will also loose the salzburg midfilder Dominik because i see Napoli signing the player.
