The future of AC Milan forward Charles De Ketelaere remains in the balance despite the comments from his agent yesterday, a report claims.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) recalls how Tom De Mul – the representative of De Ketelaere – spoke to the Belgian newspapers about his client’s future in the past few hours and insisted that the Milan management have total trust in his client.
“Milan still believe in him 100%. Maldini was a great supporter of Charles, but his replacement is the chief scout who helped him get his transfer through,” De Mul said.
“Charles looks at himself in the mirror. He knows that everyone is judging him a lot because he was Milan’s biggest transfer, but he also realises that he can give even more than that. And he knows, as we all do, that he has all the qualities to succeed.
“Charles is not the first talent who needs a period of adaptation at a top European club. He will soon be able to experience summer preparation for the first time. Hopefully, Charles will then have a good second season.”
Despite this, the newspaper claims that De Ketelaere’s future with the Rossoneri is not as watertight as his agent is making out. Things can change fast in the mercato, and if an offer of €27-28m arrives then a sale would be considered.
Considering that Milan paid €35m to sign the Belgian from Club Brugge last summer, that figure (€27-28m) is what is left in residual value on the balance sheet after one year of amortisation, which means it is the figure needed to not record a loss in the accounts.
Sale him.. unless we change the coach.. he will be wasted.
If we get a good offer , sell him.
nobody knows what his position is still.
we need players who fit the system.
The poor lad needs a new environment to reignite his career
Buy a player that you use.
Loan a player that will be a spare.
